Christmas festivities in Italy last many days: after Christmas Day and New Year’s Day we go on celebrating up to the 6th January, which is for us the feast of Epiphany, another occasion to buy presents for the children, to eat a lot (of course!) and gather families together.
These first days of the new year bring another longed-for event with them: the period of winter sales and desperate shopping! These year they started on 5th January and they will go on for the next two months more or less. Apulia is no exception and all the shops in every city and in every town are already displaying their best offers.
And this period will be characterized by the frantic activity of bargain hunters, who try to buy as much discounted articles as they can, but also by those who have now the chance of becoming the happy owner of that one expensive gadget they’d been admiring in the shop window for months.
